Flash Card FUN!

War or Math Challenge
Playing with one or more partners, divide the cards evenly.  At the same time players will show their card and announce their product or answer.  If they are incorrect, another player may help them correctly solve their fact.  Then, the highest product wins all cards.  If there is a tie, “war” is declared and those partners turn three cards face down and then turn another card face up.  Once again, they announce their product or answer.  The highest number is the winner of all cards.  Play continues until a player has won all cards OR the player with the most cards is the winner.

Flip Up
This game is played by two partners with a set of cards.  Players shuffle the deck and deal the cards face down.  Each player flips over a card from his or her pile.  The first player to call out the correct answer gets to collect the flipped over cards.  If a player calls out the wrong answer the other player gets the cards.  Players continue until all the cards have been flipped over.  The winner is the player with the most cards at the end.

Multiplication Bingo
Game board on opposite side of sheet or can be found on www.multiplication.com.  Fill numbers in at random.  When done, flash cards are turned over and products are announced.  The first person to earn a “bingo” or five in a row is the winner.

In Between
Playing alone or with a partner, turn over two cards as “enders”.  The cards will need to be sufficient spaced as to allow three more cards to be placed in the middle.  If the cards are too close, one card may be replaced.  Then, cards are turned over one at a time and answers or products are announced.  If correct, the player can then place this card in one of three positions (next to either end card or in the middle).  Once played, cards can not be moved!  However, if the card is beyond the limits, it is discarded and the player loses a turn.  Play continues until the first player is able to place five cards in a row.   For greater challenge, increase the number of cards in a row to seven!

What’s My Fact?
Playing with a partner, a PRODUCT or answer is read aloud (such as “24”).  Then, the player is allowed up to three chances to guess the correct fact (such as “12x2”, “6x4” or “8x3”).  For each correct guess, a point is earned.  The first one to earn 5 points is the winner.

Fact or Fib?
Playing with a partner, a card is overturned.  The “announcer” will say the answer or product.  The other player must say either “fact” (meaning “true”) or “fib” (meaning “false”).  If a “fib” is called, the player must provide the correct answer in order to win the point.  Play continues until five points are earned by either partner.

Matching Game
Playing alone, turn over flash cards and announce the product (check answer each time).  Continue turning and solving cards while looking for products that match (such as “6x2” and “4x3”).  When five matches are made, cards are shuffled and the game can begin again!
